Christian Brethren Community Services (CBCS) is a not-for-profit organisation specialising in the provision of accommodation and care in residential care and retirement living. Established in 1976 by a group of people from NSW Christian Brethren churches (also known as the ‘Open Brethren’), the organisation today comprises three co-located retirement villages and residential care facilities in Cherrybrook, Glenhaven and Newcastle.

The General Manager Residential Care’s role has overall responsibility for the planning, co- ordination, management, monitoring and evaluation for efficient and effective delivery of clinical operations relating to the delivery and flow of care services. The successful applicant will be an accomplished leader demonstrating exceptional people skills and strong personal alignment with the mission and values of CBCS. They will report to the CEO and will have:

• Extensive knowledge of and experience in person centred health/aged care services operational planning.
• Demonstrated aged care leadership experience and expertise and the capacity to facilitate positive relationships between care staff, residents, families and the wider community.
• Experience in atleast one senior executive role, preferably within a medium sized compliance oriented not-for-profit aged care / community services environment.
• Compliance with the requirements for Key Personnel under the Aged Care Act and the suitability requirements defined in the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act.
