OM Australia is seeking a Marketing & Social Media Creative to join our team on a part-time basis (0.6 FTE, approximately 22.8 hours per week).

Operation Mobilisation (OM) Australia is part of a global Christian mission movement committed to seeing vibrant communities of Jesus followers among the least reached peoples of the world. We mobilise Australians to pray, give, and serve in God's global mission by raising awareness, equipping believers, and supporting mission workers.
About the Role – Marketing & Social Media Creative
Working closely with the Creative Director, you will play a key role in communicating the impact of OM Australia's ministry through compelling digital content, social media engagement, and marketing campaigns.
This role is ideal for someone who combines creativity with strong organisational skills and is passionate about telling stories that inspire action and deepen engagement with world mission.
Key Responsibilities
Social Media & Digital Engagement
- Develop, schedule and publish content across OM Australia's social media platforms.
- Create and maintain monthly content calendars.
- Grow engagement with supporters, churches, and mission-minded audiences.
- Respond to community interactions in a professional and timely manner.
Content Creation & Storytelling
- Create engaging mission stories, testimonies, ministry updates, and promotional content.
- Gather stories, photos and updates from missionaries, churches and ministry activities.
- Adapt content for social media, email marketing, website, and print communications.
- Capture and curate visual content from events and ministry programs.
Marketing Campaign Support
- Support fundraising, recruitment, prayer, and event promotion campaigns.
- Coordinate campaign content across digital channels.
- Assist with campaign reporting and performance tracking.
Communications & Administration
- Update website content as required.
- Maintain organised marketing assets and content systems.
- Assist with CRM database management and email marketing activities.
- Provide digital analytics and engagement reporting.
About your skills
Essential
- Experience in social media management, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Strong writing, editing and storytelling skills.
- High-level content creation capability.
- Proficiency with major social media platforms and scheduling tools.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
- Competency with Microsoft 365 and digital communication platforms.
- Commitment to and alignment with OM Australia's Christian beliefs, mission and values.
Desirable
- Experience working within a church, mission, ministry or not-for-profit setting.
- Graphic design skills using Canva, Adobe Express or similar tools.
- Experience with CRM systems and content management platforms.
- Understanding of fundraising and supporter communications.
Faith Commitment
This role is suited to a practising Christian who is passionate about God's mission. The successful applicant will be expected to:
- Demonstrate a personal Christian faith and a commitment to the mission, values and Statement of Faith of Operation Mobilisation Australia.
- Participate in the spiritual life of the organisation, including prayer and staff devotions.
- Demonstrate Christian maturity, integrity, and a heart for reaching the least reached with the gospel.
- Be an active member/regular attendee in good standing of a local church.
