The Role
We have an exciting, full-time opportunity for an HR Officer to join our Leadership Development & Human Resources (LDHR) team, reporting to the HR Team Leader.
As HR Officer, you will work closely with both missionaries and employees, administering HR processes and providing guidance across varying workforce arrangements. This includes supporting individuals engaged under traditional employment contracts as well as those serving in missionary roles, each with distinct terms, conditions, and requirements.
This will be a ministry, not just a job, and one you can truly make your own!
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating employee job descriptions, contract variations, performance review tracking, leave administration, and personnel records.
- Assisting with the missionary lifecycle, including applications, onboarding, ongoing support, and exits.
- Overseeing organisational records management, advising internal stakeholders on record policies and maintaining databases.
- Assisting with event logistics and participating actively in regular team meetings.
What You’ll Bring to the Role:
- Strong understanding of Australian employment law and essential administrative experience.
- A degree in Human Resources or a related field, alongside prior HR experience (desirable).
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Google Workspace, database management, and documentation systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail, a strong problem-solving mindset, excellent written and verbal communication, and a commitment to handling sensitive data with high confidentiality.
- A collaborative, flexible, and servant-hearted approach, with the ability to work well both autonomously and within a diverse team.
