About Camp Geographe
Camp Geographe is one of SU’s Western Australian camp locations. It is located in Siesta Park (around 10 km from Busselton) and has been in the SU movement since the 1970s.
Camp Geographe is a 92-bed beachside campsite, on five acres. The campsite primarily serves SU’s own camps and events but is open for public bookings when not being utilised by SU.
Role Requirements
Reporting to the Senior Ministry Coordinator (Camping Operations), we are seeking a part time (3 day per week equivalent) Campsite Manager to lead our team at our beautiful Camp Geographe campsite.
In your new role, you will ensure the efficient operation of the campsite, creating a pleasant environment for positive ministry programs. You will work closely with the School Camping team to ensure quality programs are delivered. You will lead and manage the campsite staff team as well as being involved in SU’s ministry in the camps run by SU at the site.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience as a manager of a campsite or similar facility
- Ability to work independently and lead a small team
- Ability to create a positive environment for the team and camp participants
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Passion for ministry and camping programs, particularly for children and young people
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service.
