European Christian Mission Australia is in a covenant relationship with European Christian Mission International, an organisation founded in 1904, with more than 300 missionaries serving in 26 countries. Our primary objective is to make disciples, send cross-culture workers, raise first culture workers, and plant churches in Europe. Wherever we serve, we cross barriers to proclaim the crucified and risen Christ, showing love and meeting needs.

In Australia we are committed to mobilisation: promoting and implementing mission and missionary work; raising up, mentoring, preparing and sending workers, teams, and providing effective support services; and developing effective partnerships in the gospel in Australia with churches, bible colleges and other complementary ministries. We are also committed to raising and supporting first culture workers in Europe through mission workers, partnering churches and mission agencies.

European Christian Mission Australia is looking for an experienced Administrator. Based in Sydney, you will be managing our office and will be supporting our Executive Director.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Manage the office of ECMA.
  • Answer correspondence (emails, phone calls, voice messages) in a timely manner.
  • Type agendas, minutes and correspondence for the office and for the ECMA Council and Council Meetings.
  • Work as a personal assistant to the ED, managing their calendar, organising meetings and organising connections.
  • Maintain the ECMA office and Council Calendar.
  • Help manage and maintain the ECMA database.
  • Help manage and maintain ECMA systems.
  • Prepare in advance, and occasionally manage, ECMA events such as prayer and fundraising events.
  • Collate, organise and send out prayer points for Prayer Fuel, and update PrayerMate platform.
  • Liaise with and ensure good relations with donors.
  • Be attentive and caring of our missionary workers and their needs
  • Liaise patiently and in a godly manner as needed with any of our stakeholders
  • Ensure safeguarding requirements are met.
  • Provide, when requested, receipts for donors.
  • Manage receipting and banking of cash and cheques.
  • Manage renewals, reporting and claims for Insurance.
  • Manage ECMA properties in collaboration with property management.

  • have knowledge of and are competent in the use of the Google workspace and Zoom.
  • understand, or who can quickly come to understand, administrative and financial requirements as they apply in a missional environment.
  • are confident to learn new computer systems and work with databases.

Salary Range: working under the Clerks Private Sector Award – salary commensurate with experience
