Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.

The Wantirna South Campus is seeking a part-time (FTE 0.7) Secondary Food Studies Teacher who can spark curiosity and a love of learning in students. This role will commence in January 2027, and there is opportunity to consider a larger FTE for candidates who can teach additional subject areas.

You’ll inspire students to explore the science, culture, sustainability, and everyday significance of food. Through engaging practical and theoretical learning, you will encourage students to think critically, develop practical skills, and discover the wonder and relevance of Food Studies.

You’ll join a community of educators who care deeply about the formation of students and are learners themselves, committed to professional growth, collaborative practice, and the shared calling of preparing young people to live out their faith and learning for the sake of others.

The successful applicant must:

  • Be a qualified teacher and hold a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT)
  • Be able to teach Food Studies
  • Be able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education.
  • Be willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities.
  • Have high level communication and interpersonal skills.
