ABOUT THE ROLE

As our AML Officer, you will be responsible for reviewing transaction monitoring alerts, investigating unusual activity, gathering accurate records in accordance with AML/CTF obligations and internal policies.

You will work closely with our AML/CTF Compliance Officer as key business stakeholders to identify assess and appropriately escalate potential financial crime risks while contributing to a strong culture of compliance across Christian Finance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

In this role you will:

  • Review and assess transaction monitoring alerts within agreed service standards
  • Investigate unusual or unexplained client activity
  • Conduct information gathering and follow up with internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive records of alert reviews and outcomes.
  • Escalate suspicious or high-risk activity in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Support enhanced customer due diligence and compliance review activities
  • Assist with ongoing improvement of AML/CTF processes and controls
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with privacy and information security obligations
  • Provide occasional, as required administration support. Including meeting coordination, catering arrangements, office supplies and event assistance.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING:

We are looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with excellent attention to details and a proactive, customer focused approach.

You will ideally have:

  • Experience in AML/CTF, compliance, quality assurance, risk management, banking operations or financial services.
  • Understanding of AML/CTF obligations. Transaction monitoring and customer due diligence processes.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written communication and record keeping capabilities.
  • The ability to analyse information, identify anomalies and exercise sound judgement.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • A collaborative approach and willingness to support a range of business activities.
  • Experience using banking, CRM, compliance or case management systems

Relevant qualifications or training in AML/CTF, compliance, finance crime, banking or risk management will be highly regarded.
