Riverton Baptist Community Church

Worship Ministry Leader

Shelley WA, Australia Part Time

Please Note: Overseas Applications
will be considered for this Job if you have permission to work in Australia.

In this role, you will lead a team that creatively inspires people to magnify Jesus.

Riverton Baptist Community Church is a multicultural, multigenerational, multisite church in Perth, Western Australia. We are a biblical, Spirit-led, evangelistic, caring community of all ages and many cultures, passionate about growing followers of Jesus.

We are seeking a Worship Ministry Leader to lead and develop our worship ministry in alignment with the church's vision and direction.

This is a ministry leadership role with significant opportunity to make a difference. You will work with our pastoral team to shape public worship services, coordinate and develop a team of around 50 volunteers, mentor worship leaders, musicians and technicians, and cultivate healthy teams. We’re looking for a passionate team player to help lead and grow a worship culture that’s grounded in Scripture, centred on Jesus, creative, contemporary and culturally aware — helping us communicate the good news of Jesus in a post-Christian world.

We welcome applications from women and men who share our vision and can mobilise others to pursue it. While experience in worship ministry is preferred, we are also willing to invest in developing a suitable ministry candidate or student with the right character, calling and potential.

Please visit our website to get a sense of our church's culture and approach to ministry.

What we're looking for:

  • A baptised Believer with an evident personal love for Jesus Christ and a commitment to his mission in the world.
  • Agreement with our Statement of Faith (View Here)
  • Theological and/or musical qualifications, or progress towards completion.
  • Experience in worship ministry is preferred. An audition will be required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a large volunteer team, with sound emotional and cultural intelligence.
  • Current Working with Children Check.
  • National Police Clearance.
  • The right to work in Australia.
  • Registration with Baptist Churches Western Australia. The successful applicant will need to be registered with BCWA. If you are not currently registered, we can assist you through the process. Find out more about BCWA registration and accreditation.

What we offer:

  • A part-time role (2 days per week) with meaningful ministry responsibility and influence.
  • Access to generous salary packaging options.
  • Professional development opportunities to build your skills and potential.
  • Contemporary, purpose-built facilities and technology.
  • Working alongside a committed, supportive team passionate about seeing people grow as followers of Jesus.

If you have a passion for Jesus, worship and his mission in the world, we would love to hear from you.

Applications should address the qualities and experience above and include a brief statement outlining your Christian testimony.
