Waverley Christian College is a forward thinking and culturally diverse Christian co-educational school from Kinder to Year 12. We have been providing students with a quality Christian educational experience for over 45 years. With campuses in Wantirna South and Narre Warren South, Waverley Christian College has an enrolment of over 2400 students with 400 staff across both campuses in 2026.
Our College is seeking a part-time (FTE 0.4) Academic Assistant to provide essential administrative and data support to the Teaching and Learning team. Ideally working Thursdays and Fridays, this role will coordinate key processes across curriculum, assessment and student reporting, ensuring accurate and timely information is maintained and communicated throughout the academic year. This role provides support to both campuses but is based at Wantirna South.
Through your work, you will contribute to the systems and processes that underpin quality teaching and learning, supporting our College in creating an environment where students can learn, grow and flourish.
You are an ideal candidate if you:
- Have experience working with databases and resource management software (highly regarded)
- Are highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple processes and deadlines effectively.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and can confidently liaise with teachers, Heads of Teaching and Learning, and other staff.
- Enjoy working with data and have strong Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel.
- Take initiative, work well independently and can anticipate what needs to be done to keep processes running smoothly
- Are able to show a commitment to the values and ethos of Christian education
- Are willing to get involved in all aspects of the College’s programs and opportunities
