Junior Primary Pastor
Seeking a passionate Junior Primary Pastor to lead and grow our Prep-Grade 4 ministry within Crossway Kids. This role is 4.5 days a week and will provide strategic and pastoral leadership to children and families supporting their growth as disciples of Jesus in a vibrant, team-led environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide key leadership and oversee the Prep–Grade 4 ministry.
- Supervise and manage direct report staff.
- Recruit, equip and develop volunteer leaders.
- Facilitate discipleship through engaging weekly Biblical teaching and programs.
- Provide pastoral care for children, families and team members.
- Lead transitions between preschool, primary and upper primary ministries.
- Partner with parents and contribute to the wider Crossway Kids vision.
- Provide leadership and direction for local missional engagement.
- Build relationships with local schools and community organisations.
- Ensure safe and effective ministry in line with Child Safe standards.
Key Selection Criteria
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to the mission of the local church.
- Relevant ministry/theological training or equivalent experience.
- Experience leading teams and developing volunteers.
- Strong communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- Understanding of children’s ministry and discipleship.
- Commitment to child safety and compliance with Child Safe Standards.
