THE ROLE:

The Business Analyst is a 0.8FTE role and plays a key role in delivering technology solutions that support the mission and operations of the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT. Reporting to the IT Manager, you will work closely with staff, vendors and technology partners to understand business needs, improve processes, implement systems and drive initiatives within the Association's technology roadmap.

This is a diverse role that combines business analysis, project delivery, system administration and stakeholder support. You will gather and document requirements, analyse workflows, identify opportunities for improvement, and help translate organisational needs into practical technology solutions. You will also support the implementation of new systems, provide user training and documentation, maintain data integrity, and contribute to the ongoing optimisation of the Association's CRM and business systems.

Working as part of a small and collaborative team, you will provide operational and project support to the IT Manager, assist with vendor coordination, maintain technology documentation, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness across the Association.

This role would suit a proactive and solutions-focused professional who enjoys working with people, solving complex problems, analysing data and processes, and delivering technology outcomes that make a meaningful difference.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will:

  • Have experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, Data Analyst, or in a similar business technology role.
  • Be skilled in gathering, documenting and analysing business requirements and translating them into practical technology solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Have experience supporting or delivering technology projects, including stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis, testing and implementation.
  • Be comfortable working with business systems and data, with experience in CRM platforms, reporting and data management.
  • Possess excellent communication skills and be able to build strong relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Be highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and contribute to the successful delivery of projects and operational initiatives.
  • Have experience with Microsoft technologies such as Dynamics 365, Power BI and Power Automate, or the ability to quickly develop proficiency in these platforms.
  • Thrive in a collaborative team environment and demonstrate a proactive, customer-focused approach to supporting staff and improving systems.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the Christian faith and support the mission, values and ministry of the Baptist Association of NSW & ACT.
  • Have a heart for serving Baptist churches across NSW and ACT and a desire to use their skills to strengthen ministry outcomes through effective technology solutions
