The Café Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Crossway Café, ensuring a warm, welcoming environment for all customers and a well-supported, high-performing experience for staff. This role leads the team in delivering high-quality food and beverages, exceptional customer service, and efficient workflows, while maintaining rigorous standards of food safety, hygiene, and presentation.

The Café Manager plays a key role in team leadership, rostering, stock control, menu execution, and café administration, while fostering a culture of care, collaboration, and continuous improvement. With a genuine heart for hospitality and a commitment to excellence. The Café Manager ensures the café operates smoothly, sustainably, and in alignment with Crossway's values and mission.

Experience and Qualifications
* Experience managing or supervising a café, food service, or hospitality operation, with demonstrated ability to lead a small team.
* Current Food Safety Supervisor certificate (or Food Handlers Certificate as a minimum, with willingness to complete Supervisor certification upon commencement).
* Demonstrated knowledge of Victorian food safety legislation including the Food Act 1984 and FSANZ Food Standards Code.
* Barista experience and strong coffee knowledge are highly desirable.
* Experience with stock control, ordering, and basic café administration.
* Experience in or genuine affinity with a church, NFP, or community-focused organisation is an advantage.
* Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement).

* Stock control, ordering, and invoice reconciliation
* Clear written and verbal communication with customers, team members, and management
