Charlton Christian College is a K–12 co-educational Christian school located in Fassifern, Lake Macquarie. Our mission is to provide a Christ-centred education of excellence that empowers students to develop their God-given potential.

Due to continued growth, Charlton Christian College is seeking enthusiastic and suitably qualified Secondary Teachers to join our team in teaching roles across Years 7–12 commencing January 2027. We are seeking applications from Christian teachers who are passionate about Christian education and committed to making a positive impact on student learning and wellbeing.

Full-time and part-time opportunities are available. Appointments will initially be offered on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of ongoing employment.

Selection Criteria
Applicants will demonstrate:

  • A personal Christian faith, regular church attendance and willingness to support the College’s Statement of Faith.
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, child safety in an educational setting.
  • Current NSW Working with Children Check and NESA-recognised teaching qualifications and accreditation (or provisional registration).
  • Ability to integrate a Christian perspective into curriculum and classroom practice.
  • Evidence of the following behavioural competencies:
    • Working with People – Builds positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues; shows empathy and contributes to a supportive team environment
    • Adhering to Principles and Values – Demonstrates integrity and upholds the Christian ethos of the College
    • Planning and Organising – Plans effectively, meets deadlines, and manages classroom responsibilities; monitors and communicates progress
    • Presenting and Communicating Information – Communicates clearly with students, parents, and colleagues
    • Adapting and Responding to Change – Adjusts positively to changing circumstances and student needs

If applying for the VET Entertainment position, relevant industry experience and/or teaching qualifications for VET Entertainment are required. This position will deliver the VET Entertainment course one afternoon per week across the calendar year for 4 – 5 hour session blocks (typically from 1 – 5 pm). Afternoon may be negotiable.

Salary & Conditions
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement. Salary will be determined based on experience.
