Youth & Young Adults Pastor

Seeking a Youth and Young Adults Pastor who will become part of our team and embrace the Vision of Playford UC, to become a people Awakened by the Spirit, Moving in our Communities, and Cultivating Hope with the intention of seeing Futures Transformed.......

We're looking for someone who will be able to: 1) Provide Oversight to the existing Youth Leadership Team as they serve in the Youth Ministry of Playford UC. 2) Develop a Young Adult Ministry among those who already call Playford UC home. 3) Be an involved and engaged member of the Playford UC community.

GENERAL POSITION OBJECTIVES

1) VISION: Develop the Youth & YA Ministries, under the Vision of PUC (Awakened, Moving, Cultivating) and in connection with the wider PUC.

2) PRAYER: Prioritise Prayer in and for the Youth & Young Adult Ministries.

3) LEADERSHIP TEAMS: Build and develop Teams of Leaders over Youth & Young Adults who will care for, pray for, lead & inspire our young people (~12-25yo) to follow Jesus in faith and be able to share that faith with others.

4) RELATIONSHIPS: Develop a ministry that prioritises relationships over programs – relationships with & between; young people, parents, the wider church, the community.

5) ACTIVITIES: Initiate Activities as necessary that will encourage the youth in areas related to the vision of Playford UC (Awakening, Moving, Cultivating) as a part of their life of discipleship.

6) DISCIPLESHIP: Cultivate the young people in their discipleship, encouraging them to passionately pursue Jesus in all of life, in ways that are biblically faithful and culturally relevant.

7) CARE: Oversee the pastoral care of the young people connected with this ministry.

8) COMMUNITY: Engage the young people to live out their faith in the wider local community.
