Burleigh Church of Christ (BCC) is seeking a Finance & HR Support Administrator who is passionate about serving Jesus, supporting His church, and helping our ministries flourish—including our community outreach initiative, Beached @ Burleigh.

About the Role
The Finance & HR Support Administrator oversees the day to day operational, financial, and HR functions of BCC. Working closely with the Senior Pastor and ministry leaders, you’ll help ensure our church operates smoothly, responsibly, and in alignment with our mission.
This is a one day per week role, with flexibility around which day you work and the option to work from home.
Key Responsibilities
Christian Conduct
• Model Christ like character, humility, kindness, integrity, and love in all interactions
• Represent and uphold the heart and mission of BCC
Compliance
• Ensure adherence to all relevant policies and regulations (ATO, ACNC, Churches of Christ QLD, WHS, etc.)
• Carry out duties in accordance with BCC policies and procedures
Finance & Administration
• Administer all financial obligations, including:
• Payroll & superannuation
•Budgeting
•Accounts payable & receivable
•Banking
• ATO reporting
• Financial reporting
• Oversee insurance requirements
• Support Team Leaders in managing volunteer induction and training processes
Property & Operations Management
• Oversee property management, including repairs, maintenance, venue hire, and annual audits
Human Resources
• Manage staffing requirements, including:
• Employment contracts
• Leave entitlements
• On boarding & inductions
• Training & performance management
• Annual appraisals
• Promote healthy workplace practices, self care, and WHS compliance
Reporting
• Provide monthly reports to BCC Elders covering budgets, expenditure, WHS incidents, property matters, and more
Other duties as required
What We’re Looking For
Essential
• A genuine Christian faith and a heart for serving others in Jesus’ name
• Commitment to the values and mission of Burleigh Church of Christ
• Strong administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Excellent customer service and confidence with financial software (Xero)
• Ability to work independently with integrity, efficiency, and attention to detail
• Capacity to maintain confidentiality and exercise wisdom and discernment
Desirable
• Experience in local church or para church ministry
• Knowledge of WHS practices
• Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures
Location & Work Conditions
• Based on the Gold Coast (Burleigh Heads)
• One day per week
• Casual or permanent part time
