SIM Australia is looking for an HR Administrator with a heart for God to join our team.
SIM Australia (sim.org.au) is a Christian mission agency helping to make the Gospel global. We facilitate cross-cultural workers from anywhere to everywhere to reach the least reached with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The role of HR Administrator provides the organisational and administrative infrastructure that supports our personnel function. You will be responsible for maintaining HR systems, personnel reporting, contracts, recruitment administration, policy documentation, compliance records and related processes that support our people and ministries.
This is a part-time (0.6 FTE) position, ideally based in the SIM Australia Sydney office, although a hybrid work-from-home arrangement may be considered. The role will be offered on a 12-month fixed-term contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
The successful candidate will have:
- A Christian faith, a heart to follow Jesus, and active participation in a church community
- Experience in administration, HR administration, personnel support, or a related role
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Excellent organisational, data management and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
- Ability to learn and manage systems and processes effectively
- BambooHR experience or working knowledge highly regarded
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with HR Information Systems (HRIS)
- Experience preparing contracts and managing employment documentation
- Experience in recruitment administration
- Understanding of compliance, governance and policy management processes
- A process-improvement mindset with a desire to improve systems and learn new skills
- A positive attitude and commitment to supporting others
Summary
The HR Administrator role covers a broad range of people administration activities within a Christ-centred organisation and a supportive team environment. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys working with systems, data, documentation and processes while contributing to the mission and ministry of SIM Australia.
