Tyndale is a preschool to Year 12 co-educational school located in Blacktown, Sydney. About the Role

As a member of the Executive Team, the Head of Secondary School works under the direction of the Deputy Principal and is committed to the School’s Vision. The Head of Secondary School is responsible to the Principal for the leadership and management of the Secondary School (Years 7-12), overseeing its academic, co-curricular, pastoral and administrative programs.

The Head of Secondary School is a dynamic educational leader who has the energy, drive and commitment to lead and develop an outstanding learning culture in the Secondary School and ensure best practice in educational and well-being outcomes for students. The Head of Secondary School inspires and motivates staff to be leaders of learning and encourages innovation and collaboration in professional practice. In thinking, planning and acting strategically, the Head of Secondary School facilitates continuous improvement of the Secondary School program. The Head of Secondary School supports and enhances the development of the School’s Christ-centred focus in all areas of school life and works closely with the Deputy Principal and KLA Coordinators on curriculum, management and operational matters.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications & Knowledge:

  • Relevant teaching qualifications and current NESA Accreditation
  • Post graduate qualifications such as Masters or equivalent preferred but not essential

Experience and Skills:

  • Experienced educator with exceptional leadership, communication and administration skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with students, colleagues and parents
  • Proven leadership experience
  • Understanding of current pedagogical trends
  • Understanding of Christian Education
