IPHC Ministries (Australia) Pty Ltd ABN is 12085 894757 is the national organisational body of the global International Pentecostal Holiness Church also known as IPHC Ministries.
Our Mission is to multiply believers and churches, discipling them in worship, fellowship, and evangelism as we obey the Great Commission in cooperation with the whole body of Christ. As God has called us to be a Place of Hope and a People of Promise.
As a Conference, IPHC Ministries exists to empower and equip members, both organisational and individual, towards fulfilling the Great Commission. Enabling the function of a membership body that consists of the following components:
- A Conference Ministry Centre as its central office
- Elected/appointed leaders and staff
- Credentialed or ordained clergy
- Senior/Lead Pastors
- Member Churches
- Networks of churches (groups of Member Churches that have a cooperative relationship with one another in addition to their membership in the conference)
- Other ministry organisations including Collective Hope Community Services Ltd.
Brief Overview:
The role of Church Planting Pastor is a Minister of Religion position within IPHC Ministries. The position involves pastoral leadership, discipleship, church planting, and ministry development in line with the organisation’s mission and values. This role will operate as follows:
Reports to:
National Leader. The Church Planting Pastor will be required to report to the National Leader on a regular basis. This should take place on a fortnightly basis (but weekly if necessary). The National Leader should be provided with either verbal reports or written reports as requested.
Location:
- Weekdays: Head office – Morley, Western Australia.
- Sunday/ Ministry Service: Willetton, Western Australia.
Contract Hours:
- Full Time: 38 hours per week.
Qualifications and Experience:
It is noted, that the Church Planting Pastor shall carry a unique set of skills and experience such as but not limited to:
Essential:
- Be an ordained minister with IPHC Ministries or willingness to obtain credentials.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Theology or Chaplaincy - Master’s level.
- Hold a current “Working with Children Check”
- Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with individuals from other ethnic, cultural and professional backgrounds.
- Chaplaincy and mission’s ministry for church planting.
- At least ten years’ experience as a Church Pastor.
- Chaplaincy experience in community services.
- Ability to relate and work with those experiencing Homelessness.
- Ability to effectively work with New Migrants in Australia.
- Demonstrated ability to work in Outreach ministry situations.
- Experience in training others in Discipleship.
- Mentoring and teaching future church leaders.
Desirable but not essential:
- Preaching skills in both English and Spanish.
Licenses and checks:
- Current and valid Driver’s license
- Working with Children’s check
- Current First Aid (HLTAID004) Certificate
- National Police clearance no more than 6 months old
- Police Clearance from country of origin (where applicable)
Employment conditions:
- 3 Year term initially with position to be reviewed after three (3) months, and annually thereafter.
Remuneration and Benefits:
- This is a full-time paid position within IPHC Ministries (Australia). Total remuneration package of $80,000 per annum (inclusive of applicable benefits, exclusive of superannuation).
Role Expectations:
The Church Planting Pastor will seek to:
Pastoral Care & Community Engagement
- Disciple and nurture members in their spiritual growth and provide moral guidance.
- Visit members in their homes or when in hospital and other institutions to provide support and comfort.
- Grow the membership through the provision of ministry programs or initiatives that will meet the community need.
- Provide individual or family counselling and refer members to professional service agencies where necessary.
Services & Spiritual Leadership
- Prepare and deliver sermons, prayer meetings and seminars on the IPHC calendar.
- Prepare and conduct worship services.
- Promote, organise, and assist in the growth of assigned church plant.
Organisational Alignment & Partnerships
- Maintain good relationships with the leaders of other membership ministries.
- Promote IPHC where possible, seeking partnership opportunities where/when appropriate.
- Actively cooperate with the Body of Christ in accordance with IPHC vision/mission and values.
- Positively represent IPHC.
Administration & Workplace Conduct
- Maintain and draft IPHC reports as directed by the National Leader to help assist with analytical statistics.
- Behave in a way that contributes to a workplace that is free of discrimination, harassment and bullying.
- Operate in line with all IPHC policies and procedures to help ensure the health and safety of self and others.
