Christian Schools Australia is a national, school-based member organisation supporting over 200 schools and campuses. CSA seeks an Executive Officer to support its 26 member schools on 32 campuses across VIC/TAS and facilitate the continued growth and strength of the sector.
The Executive Officer (EO) is a strategic leadership role and is responsible for ensuring the vision of Christian Schools Australia is promoted throughout the member schools in VIC/TAS and nationally.
EOs are appointed in each state to participate in the broad National Agenda, and are called to:
- Ensure the continued growth and fruitfulness of the Christian schooling movement and the strategic vision and direction of CSA by retaining an outward focus, generational appropriateness, and cultural awareness.
- Preserve the biblical distinctiveness of schools through the continued development of distinctively Christian approaches to policy, educational practice, resources and services, employment, training, and community development.
- Preserve and enhance the freedom to operate Christian Schools in Australia through effective representation to governments, regulators and other bodies.
- An understanding of CSA and passion for Christian education
Key attributes:
- A strong personal and faith and clarity of Christian perspective
- Strong leadership with executive level experience
- Self-motivated with an ability to deliver complex projects
- Highly relational with strong communication, networking, and presentation skills
The successful applicant will have:
- Demonstrated ability to network and form relationships with key stakeholders
- A comprehensive understanding of the Christian schooling sector
- Knowledge of the educational and regulatory landscape in VIC/TAS
- Ability to travel and contribute both locally and nationally
