Brisbane | 4 days per week, on-site (24–28 hours)
- Are you a visual storyteller who creates photography and video content that genuinely connects with audiences?

- Looking to do your best creative work inside a supportive, high-performing marketing team?
About Wild Hive
Wild Hive is a national collective of marketing, communications and fundraising specialists working as a virtually integrated team across Australia.
We embed experienced professionals within purpose-led organisations, helping them strengthen their brand, grow engagement and communicate clearly. Our team includes marketers, communicators, designers, digital specialists, fundraisers and storytellers who work collaboratively to deliver meaningful outcomes.
You'll be part of the Wild Hive team, supported by experienced marketing and communications professionals, while working closely with two of our valued Brisbane-based client partners. This role offers variety, purpose and the opportunity to become a trusted extension of both organisations.
About the Role
We're looking for a visual-first content creator to be the eyes and lens for two of our Brisbane-based client partners.
This is a part-time role working 4 days per week (24–28 hours), on-site across both organisations. At its heart this is a content creation role: you'll be on the ground capturing photography and video — events, programs, people and the real moments that capture each organisation at its best — then turning that footage into content that earns attention on social. You'll shoot, edit and publish reels, stories and posts tailored to each platform, backed by sharp, on-brand captions and a consistent posting rhythm.
You'll own the visual content pipeline from capture to publish, while supporting campaign planning, paid digital and broader communications alongside both client teams and your Wild Hive colleagues.
What you'll be doing:
- Social content — create, edit and publish visual content (reels, stories, posts) tailored to each platform
- Capture — shoot photography and video on-site at events, programs and in the community
- Writing — craft concise, on-brand captions and short-form copy to support your content
- Content scheduling — plan and manage content calendars across both organisations
- Campaign & paid digital — support campaign planning and briefing paid digital across Google, Meta and LinkedIn
- Media & PR — support media activity, PR opportunities and external communications
About You
You're a visual storyteller first — happiest behind a camera or in the edit, with a strong eye for composition, light and what makes content land on social. You can take a moment and turn it into something people stop, watch and share.
You enjoy working independently, take ownership of your content, and thrive in a role that balances creativity with organisation. You can shoot, edit, schedule and write a sharp caption — and you keep multiple projects moving without dropping the ball.
What you'll bring to the Hive:
- A degree in media, communications, digital media or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience in photography and videography
- 3–5+ years' experience creating visual content for social media or brands
- Strong photography and videography skills, plus editing (e.g. Premiere, CapCut, Canva etc)
- A solid eye for composition, framing and visual storytelling
- A working understanding of marketing — how content supports campaigns, audiences and organisational goals
- 🔹 A strong portfolio of social-first photo and video content (reels, stories, short-form)
- Solid caption and short-form writing skills
- Working knowledge of paid digital across Google, Meta and LinkedIn (or willingness to develop it)
- Experience with WordPress or similar CMS platforms
- Excellent organisation and the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
Experience working with community-based organisations, education providers, not-for-profits, faith-based organisations or purpose-led businesses will be highly regarded.
Why Join Wild Hive?
- Meaningful work — your content directly helps for-purpose organisations grow their impact
- A creative, visual-first role where content is the main event
- Variety and connection working on-site across two client partners — never stuck behind a desk alone
- Support from an experienced and collaborative specialist marketing team
