Tyndale is a preschool to Year 12 co-educational school located in Blacktown, Sydney. About the role

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and committed people for the fulltime 12-month contract role (parental leave) of Finance and Business Services Manager.

As a member of the Tyndale Executive Team, the Finance and Business Services Manager works closely with the Principal to provide strategic and operational leadership across the Tyndale's finance and business services functions. The role is responsible for financial management, budgeting, reporting and cash flow management, as well as overseeing enrolments, property and facilities, school transport services, and Coffee Tyn and Lunch Online.

Reporting to the Principal, the successful applicant will contribute to the effective stewardship of the Tyndale's resources and support the achievement of its educational and strategic objectives.

Essential Criteria

· Christian of a Reformed/Evangelical persuasion, who is an active member of a Reformed/Evangelical church

· Whole-heartedly subscribe to our School's Educational Creed

· Valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)

· Undergraduate degree in accounting, commerce, business or related discipline/s, relevant postgraduate qualifications highly desirable

· CA/ CPA

· Familiarity with the financial, accounting, and government funding requirements and practices of Australian educational institutions

· Extensive experience in similar management finance/accounting role

· Team management and leadership

· Initiative and drive

· Ability to work within time constraints and achieve strict deadlines

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written, including the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels

· Demonstrated management / financial reporting experience and working with or advising senior leaders and directors

· A proven capacity to use and adapt to technology and contemporary accounting software programs

· Demonstrated skills and experience in process streamlining and workflow management

· Commitment to driving continuous improvement and fostering a culture of positive change

· Ability to interpret relevant legislation

· Attention to detail and accuracy
