This is an opportunity to lead a dynamic English faculty, drive academic excellence and play a key role in shaping the future direction of teaching and learning across Years 7–12.
As Head of English:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing English faculty
- Drive curriculum innovation across Years 7–12
- Mentor, coach and develop teaching staff
- Oversee VCE English programs and student outcomes
- Foster evidence-based, engaging teaching practices
- Lead curriculum planning, assessment and reporting
- Support staff through curriculum innovation and change
- Manage departmental resources and budgets
- Partner with school leaders to achieve strategic educational goals
About You
We're looking for a leader who brings:
✔ Significant secondary English teaching experience
✔ Leadership experience or readiness to step into leadership
✔ Strong curriculum knowledge, including VCE
✔ Current VIT Registration
✔ Outstanding communication and people leadership skills
✔ A passion for mentoring teachers and improving student outcomes
✔ Contemporary, technology-rich teaching practices
✔ A genuine commitment to the Christian values and mission of the school
