Catalyst Church is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. This role is full-time and ideal for someone who enjoys administration and accounts, has a strong eye for detail, and is passionate about supporting the day-to-day operations of a growing church community.

You will play a key role in providing administrative support while assisting with finance and accounts functions that help keep the organisation running effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Administration and Communication

  • General office administration and support
  • Managing emails, documents, filing and records
  • Assisting with scheduling and coordination of meetings and events
  • Data entry and maintaining accurate records
  • Co-ordinating venue hire, managing calendars and room bookings
  • Creating weekly newsletter, updating the church website and social media
  • Responding to enquiries and supporting ministry teams as required

Accounts

  • Processing accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Preparing and processing payroll
  • Entering and coding invoices accurately
  • Reconciling bank accounts and financial transactions
  • Assisting with account reconciliations and reporting
  • Maintaining financial records and ensuring accuracy
  • Supporting month-end finance processes
  • Assisting with finance-related administration as required

About You

  • Previous experience in accounts, bookkeeping or finance administration is essential
  • Previous administration experience preferred
  • Experience with payroll, invoice processing and reconciliations
  • Experience using accounting software (Xero experience highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute within a church environment
