St Andrew’s Cathedral School is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking ICT Director to lead our technology function and drive innovation across teaching, learning and school operations.

Located in the heart of Sydney, our School combines strong tradition with a progressive approach to education. This is a key leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering the School’s ICT strategy, ensuring secure, reliable and future-focused technology services that enhance the experience of students, staff and the wider School community.

Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations, the ICT Director leads the ICT team and partners closely with senior leaders to embed technology across all areas of the School.

This is an on-site leadership role.

Role Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an ICT team across infrastructure, systems, AV and service delivery.
  • Develop and deliver the School’s ICT strategy and Digital Roadmap aligned to educational and operational priorities.
  • Provide strategic advice to Executive leadership on ICT investment, risk, governance and emerging technologies.
  • Oversee ICT operations, ensuring reliable, scalable and secure infrastructure and systems.
  • Establish and maintain strong cybersecurity, data protection and ICT risk management frameworks.
  • Partner with teaching staff to enhance digital learning across K–12.
  • Lead ICT service delivery, including helpdesk and support services, with clear SLAs and performance metrics.
  • Deliver ICT and AV projects, including system upgrades, new technologies and innovation initiatives.
  • Manage ICT budgets, procurement and vendor relationships to ensure value for money and high-quality outcomes.

What you will bring?

  • Proven leadership in ICT within a school or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership in ICT strategy development and implementation, including digital transformation and AI initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of ICT infrastructure, cybersecurity and enterprise systems
  • Experience overseeing ICT operations and service delivery, including use of SLAs and performance metrics.
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen, including budget, procurement and vendor management.
  • Experience in ICT governance, risk management and compliance with Australian legislation (including Privacy Act and child safety)
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence at an executive level.
  • A commitment to child safety, Christian values, and the ethos of Anglican education.
