We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Officer to join our Finance team. This part-time position, working three days per week from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, is responsible for managing the School’s fee collection and accounts receivable functions. The role involves working closely with families to manage outstanding fees, establish payment arrangements, and maintain positive relationships while supporting strong financial outcomes for the School. The successful applicant will demonstrate strong administrative and financial skills, excellent communication, and the ability to balance perseverance with compassion and sensitivity when working with families.

Essential Criteria
The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A person of evangelical Christian convictions and character, actively involved in a Bible-based Christian church and committed to the work of Christian education.
  • Affirm and uphold the School’s Statement of Faith and committed to working a biblical worldview into all aspects of School role.
  • Have a current Working with Children Check as legislated.
  • Demonstrated experience and proven success in an Accounts Receivable role.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to manage complex tasks, prioritise competing deadlines, and maintain a high level of accuracy and consistency.
  • Advanced IT proficiency, including Microsoft 365 applications, with strong Excel capability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders and convey information clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to apply both perseverance and compassion in debt collection, maintaining positive relationships while achieving outcomes.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and solutions-focused, with the capacity to anticipate needs, resolve issues effectively, and remain flexible under pressure.
  • High level of professionalism, including discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and personal information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach, with the ability to work effectively across teams and with senior leaders while maintaining a positive and approachable manner.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently, demonstrating initiative, a positive attitude, and a commitment to continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
  • Availability to work additional days during peak periods (January, February and December), as required.
  • Experience with accounts receivable processes within a school environment (desirable).
  • Broader finance experience, including exposure to accounts payable or working within a finance team (desirable)
