Customer Service Officer (Residential) - Adare Camp and Caravan Park

The Uniting Church in South Australia (UCSA) comprises of more than 250 congregations conducting extensive and diverse mission activities across the state.
The iconic Adare Camp and Caravan Park, located in Victor Harbor, aims to provide exceptional Christian hospitality to church and school groups, community organisations, wedding and caravan park guests. 

An opportunity exists for a permanent part-time Customer Service Officer (Residential) to live onsite to provide after-hours customer service to our guests.   

The Customer Service Officer – Residential is an integral part of the Adare customer service team and has an emphasis on the provision of after-hours customer service and emergency contact support to assist Uniting Venues SA to provide exceptional Christian hospitality.

Reporting to the Centre Manager, the Customer Service Officer (Residential) key tasks are:  
  • Live on site (you will be provided with a 4 bedroom house)
  • Be on call between the hours of 5:00pm and 9:00am five days a week
  • Respond to after-hours guest enquiries and calls for assistance (for groups staying at Adare)
  • Periodically check in / check out guests a conduct site tours
  • Maintain knowledge of WHS issues related to after-hours support as well as the organisations policies and procedures

The successful applicant will be required to have significant experience in a similar position and / or hold a Certificate IV or higher in Hospitality as well as:
  • A heart for Christian camping and a genuine love for people
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of customer service principles
  • Understanding of the various needs of guests with the accommodation or hospitality industry

Experience within the camp, retreat and group accommodation industry will be highly regarded.  Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills are necessary in this role, as is your demonstrated commitment to a mainstream Christian denomination.
