Student Wellbeing Support Officer or Chaplain



Do you love working alongside children supporting their social & emotional needs?


Student Wellbeing Support Officers and Chaplains have a great role to encourage and develop children and young people to become all they can be through individual support and small group programs such as RAGE and Managing the Bull.

This role is part time, located in schools, and is ideal if you are looking to work during school hours, 5 hours per day, 2-3 days per week in South West Sydney.

Bridging the Gap, in partnership with the Department of Education, provides tailored support for primary aged children in Public schools.


Do you have a Certificate IV in Youth Work or a Diploma in Ministry, Youth or Welfare.  A Degree in education, social work or psychology will be highly regarded.


Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children and/or young people

Experience facilitating RAGE, Managing the Bull or similar is desirable

Demonstrated ability to connect with young people, build relationships and resolve conflict. 

Experience working in a school environment would be an advantage.

Understanding of issues affecting CALD & ATSI children and young people
