About Alpha 

Alpha is a global not for profit Christian organisation that gives people the chance to explore the Christian faith, ask questions and share their point of view through a series of interactive group sessions. Alpha is run in churches, cafes, universities and homes and everyone is welcome!

Alpha Australia has recently celebrated 500,000 participants and is continuing to see significant growth each year.  We are now looking for a dynamic, experienced and hands-on Marketing and Communications Manager to help broaden our reach and increase engagement across all Alpha Australia platforms.
 
About the role

The Marketing and Communications Manager will develop, deliver, and manage an innovative and cutting-edge marketing and communications strategy for Alpha Australia, overseeing all operations including content development, digital and social media, print, brand management, promotional and fundraising campaigns that will further the organisational objectives and goals of Alpha Australia.

This full-time ‘hands-on’ management role will provide expert strategic advice, recommendations, solutions and report on key marketing and communications metrics and initiatives to the National Director and Executive Team as well as manage other key external stakeholder relationships.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective and innovative communications and marketing activities and initiatives that align with Alpha’s strategic goals
  • Source and coordinate the full life cycle of engaging and delivering content for multi-platform use
  • Develop a research and evaluation framework for Alpha Australia marketing activities and initiatives
  • Build and manage marketing and communications internal and external stakeholder relationships
  • Oversee production of Alpha Australia publications and internal communications functions
  • Provide expert advice to Management on best practice communication and marketing initiatives and report on key analytics.
  • Manage and work within marketing budget parameters
 
About You
  • Degree in Marketing / Communications / PR or similar
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in marketing / communications
  • Demonstrated experience in taking the lead in developing and implementing strategic marketing plans resulting in increased traffic and engagement
  • High level communication skills including excellent writing and language skills - ideally to perform interviews and tell stories
  • Knowledge, experience and understanding of digital platforms, SEO and analytics
  • Ability to think both creatively and strategically
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and projects
  • Committed to the values and mission of Alpha Australia
  • Knowledge of Australian church landscape
  • Innovative, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
  • Understanding of graphic design and Adobe software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office suite and google drive
  • Current drivers licence
