Our Daily Bread Ministries Australian operations are an integral part of a global Christian organisation dedicated to the spread of God’s Word. We’re a non-denominational, non-profit organisation with staff and volunteers in over 35 offices working together to distribute more than 60 million resources in 150 countries.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for the accurate handling and processing of our readers requests through our print and digital channels. You will oversee incoming mail, donations and enquiries and process these through our database system ensuring that they are handled accurately.

You will often be the first point of contact and will be required to have a passion for handling phone and mail requests from the readers of Our Daily Bread. You will assist with phone orders and enquiries and process these through our database system ensuring that they are handled accurately and dispatched in a timely manner

You will be committed to delivering a high level of customer service and have a passion for ministry and helping people.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the opening and handling of the mail adhering to our processes
  • ​Process requests and donations regularly in our CRM
  • Work with volunteers when necessary to complete the work
  • Manage inbound calls and provide excellent service
  • Manage the timely response to phone and email enquiries
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with our mission and vision
  • Provide necessary support to the ministry team when required

Essential Job Requirements

  • Have a demonstrated ability to be a self-starter, able to work independently and with other other coworkers.
  • Possess a positive attitude and willingness to embrace change
  • Demonstrate accountability for own actions and addresses any issues in a timely manner
  • Have good verbal, written and communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, with previous CRM experience, including knowledge of Microsoft word and excel.
  • Have a strong conviction of the life changing power of the gospel of Christ.
  • Be actively involved in the life of the church through attendance and ministry involvement
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and team focused environment
  • Possess a good attention to detail

Highly Regarded Job Requirements

  • Experience in working with people from different ethnic, language, and cultural backgrounds preferred.
  • High level of organisational skills.
  • Have previous experience in the Not for Profit sector, in particular faith-based ministry
  • Ability to multitask to meet competing demands
