• A full-time opportunity for a Maintenance Manager to join our team
• Role located in at our residential site in Miranda, NSW
• This is a hands on role, involving manual handling and other activities of a physical nature

More about the role
The role of the Maintenance Manager works within the Mission and Mission in Action of HammondCare to ensure that various facilities, over multiple locations are professionally maintained, in a timely and effective manner – with a combination of hands on maintenance and contractor management.

The essence of this role:

• Maintain and repair of all physical aspects of buildings and resources for HammondCare including grounds and all fixed and mobile equipment and furnishings, to industry standards
• Ensure professionally maintained properties, including all grounds and gardens on the site. 
• Manage contractors in their delivery of specialized contracted works.
• Communicating with management and other staff to ensure timely action and completion of property related issues. 
• In conjunction with the Property Manager, ensuring the Maintenance budget is monitored and managed.

About you
• Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.
• A trade qualification relevant to a Facilities Maintenance or Construction environment.
• Demonstrated experience working in a Construction or Facilities Maintenance role.
• A current NSW White card.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively manage complex, competing demands and dynamic time pressures.
• Demonstrated experience in applying initiative and creative problem-solving on the job.
• Experience managing a team of skilled professionals working in a Construction or Facilities Maintenance role.
• Strong computer skills (Excel and Word). Provide an example of a recent document you have produced that demonstrates your presentation and report-writing ability.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a dynamic team environment, under minimal supervision.
• Ability to meet the inherent physical demands of the role
• Evidence of high work, interpersonal and ethical standards.
• A current driver’s license and safe driving record. Willingness to travel between HammondCare’s sites and services.
