Heathdale Christian College is a multi-denominational co-educational College in the Western suburbs of Melbourne, which has been partnering with parents for 35 years by providing excellent Christian Education.  With two campuses and enrolment base of 1,600 students in Kindergarten to Year 12 (Werribee) and Prep to Year 6 (Melton), we continue to grow.  Both sites are within easy access of each other and the Melbourne CBD.

Heathdale Christian College is currently recruiting a permanent part time Learning Assistant who will work at our Melton Campus.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our College in the Learning Enhancement department. This position will assist teachers with our students in Primary students at our Melton Campuses.

·         Permanent part time (2-3 days, Thursday & Friday)

This role is to offer support and assistance to students that have a range of specific needs. This position also assists the class room teachers to successfully implement the curriculum and school programs. Your role will enhance and develop the learning opportunities for students. 
 
As part of this position you will also be responsible for students on the bus route from Manor Lakes to Melton and return. This will form part of your hours worked and your contract.  
 
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate or have:

  • Minimum Certificate III in Education Support / Children Service’s
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillset
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with and engaging a diverse range of internal stakeholders
  • The ability to work on a flexible basis and to work with various teaching staff and students
  • Working with Children Check ‘E’
  • First Aid/Anaphylaxis qualifications
