Marketing Manager
Organisation: Youthworks, Christian Education Publications
Location: Clarence St, Sydney CBD
Employment Type: Part-time (21 Hours or 3 Days per week)

Christian Education Publications (CEP) is seeking a Marketing Manager to join our team. The CEP division publishes Christian educational content across a variety of platforms for young people and those serving young people, including but not limited to resources for SRE ministry, Christian studies in independent schools, and church ministries.  The CEP division also provides educational resources for the Sydney Diocese.
 
About the role
As Marketing Manager, you will support the CEP team by overseeing marketing activities to all clientele through effective sales strategy implementation and building strong commercial relationships.
 
Your responsibilities
  • Proactively approach churches, trade partners and individual customers in targeted areas and generate new customers
  • Manage existing relationships within churches, trade partners and individual customers
  • Manage sales opportunities across the entire sales cycle
  • Continually search for new markets for CEP products
  • Run CEP stalls and book displays at various Christian conferences (Next Gen, KYCK, SRE training days, and various children’s ministry conferences).
  • Manage social media accounts for CEP (across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest)
 
 
You will need to demonstrate
  • Qualification in Marketing or related fields
  • Relevant work experience in a marketing/communication or related field and/or proven knowledge of industry
  • Ability to think creatively and innovatively
  • Understanding of traditional and emerging marketing channels
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service  
  • Demonstrated competencies in dealing with work requiring high levels of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and databases
  • Strong customer focus
  • Good personal presentation
  • Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation
 
Familiarity with the latest trends, technologies, methodology, and experience in Adobe InDesign and Adobe PhotoShop are desirable but not essential.
