The Role

Reporting directly to the Dean of Students, a fantastic opportunity is available in our high-performing Registry team for a Director of Academic Administration.

The Director of Academic Administration provides oversight of academic administration at Alphacrucis College (AC) and leadership to ensure efficient and comprehensive systems and processes.  This person should share with other staff the desire to equip Christian leaders in churches, educational institutions, market place and mission and to serve in a progressive leading tertiary Christian institution.

Basic Job Functions

  • Provide leadership at AC in the area of academic administration to achieve successful, compliant and efficient academic operations;
  • Develop, administer and review the College’s academic systems and supporting material (e.g. organisational calendars, timetables);
  • Oversee the Registry team and function;
  • Oversee the administration of academic initiatives;
  • Particiapate as a member of the Academic Administration Committee and other committees as requested.

Qualifications / Skills / Qualities

  • Completion of an earned doctorate from an Australian university or other recognised Australian or international institution of higher education strongly preferred. Candidates with Masters qualifications and extensive experience in academic administration will be considered;
  • Commitment to the Christian faith that informs one’s professional and personal choices and commitments;
  • Successful experience in oversight of academic administration activities, including familiarity with Australian Higher Education Standards;
  • Understanding of the mission of higher education and vocational training within the church;
  • Evidence of team leadership, strategic thinking, and project planning and implementation skills;
  • Proven people skills grounded in a genuine respect for others and demonstrated in a range of contexts including administrative teams and internal and external constituencies;
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with colleagues and constituents;
  • Ability to hire, mentor, supervise and motivate staff.
