Front of House Supervisor
Organisation: Youthworks, Conference Centres
Location: Port Hacking Conference Centres, Royal National Park (Sutherland)
Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time (as required evening and weekend work)

Youthworks is seeking a Front of House Supervisor to join our Conference Centre team. Youthworks Conference Centre’s provide a place of temporary community for groups for relational and personal growth. We are intentional partners to schools, churches and like-minded community groups through networking, collaboration and facilitation of Word ministry. We are providers of outstanding venues in amazing locations and Christian hospitality. We believe our interactions with our guests and each other are opportunities to promote and proclaim the gospel.
 
About the role
As Front of House Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day to day operations of the front of house duties of meal service functions, including but not limited to food attendant staffing, service delivery and inventory.
 
Your responsibilities
  •    Manage high quality client-centered food service that achieves a pleasant experience for clients and promotes Youthworks in a positive way
  • Oversight and management of meal service including but not limited to ensuring that site kitchens are adequately stocked (food and equipment) and adequate employees are rostered to facilitate excellent food service requirements
  •    Aid in daily and weekly equipment cleaning and maintenance
  • Liaise with catering staff to understand the meals and special diets being served
  •    Assist FOH employees in service of meals, when required
 
You will need to demonstrate
  •    Ability and availability to, if required and appropriate, cover shifts Monday to Sunday to assist with seven-days-per-week operations
  •    Food Handling Certification
  • Proven knowledge of Industry and Safety Standards
  •    Experience in the hospitality field
  •    Experience leading a team
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and to be flexible to reflect changes in priority 
  • Proficiency in using a range of software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and databases
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with a focus on providing strong customer service
  •    Well-developed problem solving skills
  • A systematic and focused approach to tasks with a strong attention to detail
  • An ability to work with a wide range of staff to achieve effective outcomes
  •    Personal Christian faith and willingness to work within an Anglican organisation
 
RSA Certification and Hospitality qualifications are desirable but not essential.
 
Current drivers licence and own transport is essential as there is no public transport anywhere near the Port Hacking Conference Centres.
