Established in 1959, Baptist World Aid Australia partners with like-minded agencies overseas to empower communities to lift themselves out of poverty, challenge injustice and build resilience.  We partner with Christians and churches in Australia, particularly those from the Baptist movement, in generous giving, ethical consumption, courageous advocacy and faithful prayer in order to achieve justice for people living in poverty.  We do this from within a professional and enriching staff environment as we serve in the name of Jesus.  We are focused on enhancing our diverse, inclusive and collaborative culture to enrich our work, our impact and our relationships with supporters.

Your Impact and Contribution:

This position is responsible for providing proactive, efficient and professional administrative and secretarial support to the CEO and Executive Team with a high level of competence, confidentiality, maturity and professionalism. Your days will be varied and busy and will include activities including, but not limited to, preparing reports and minutes, screening communication methods, organising appointments, communicating with various stakeholders, coordinating events and preparing and distributing a fortnightly organisational newsletter. Job Requirements:

What capabilities will help you succeed?
 
  • 3 + years’ experience in an Executive Assistant/PA role at a senior executive level 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Ability to produce high quality Executive-level minutes, reports and related documents
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously, under pressure and meet stringent deadlines
  • Demonstrates initiative, prioritisation, discretion and high levels of confidentiality to resolve complex tasks
  • An authentic committed Christian:
    • With strong commitment to Transform Aid International’s/Baptist World Aid’s mission, vision and core values
    • Able to understand, engage with and support the Biblical theology that informs the organisation’s development approach
    • Abble to participate enthusiastically in prayer sessions, biblical reflection sessions and church services
