Business Team Leader

The Salvation Army is an evangelical branch of the universal Christian Church. Its mission is to save souls, grow saints and serve suffering humanity by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ whilst providing practical and spiritual support.

Macquarie Fields Child Care and Community Centre is part of The Salvation Army, providing services in Child Care and the Welfare sector.

We are currently seeking the services of highly motivated individual to join the centre as the Business Team Leader. In this position, you will be responsible for oversighting and maintaining the finances and associated administration for the centre under the guidance of the Mission Team Leader. Specifically you will be responsible for account and data management as well as providing support to the Mission Team Leader in areas of administration, property and human resources.

To fill this role successfully, it is essential that you have:

-          A sound operating knowledge of Finance Software

-          Proficiency working in a Windows environment utilising Lotus Notes, including Word, Power Point

-          Ability to meet deadlines and work under conflicting time pressures

-          Ability to work within team environment

-        Demonstrated   good verbal and written communication skills

-          Demonstrated effective telephone skills

-          Proficiency in keyboard/typing with accuracy

-          Demonstrated experience and knowledge of office equipment

-          An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army

Qualifications in Business Administration/Management and previous experience in managing accounts and corporate finances/dealing with Government Departments coupled with in depth knowledge of the Child Care Centre are highly desirable.
