Job Description:

Our client is an innovative, interdenominational Christian College with strong faith based values and an uncompromising commitment to providing exceptional education. 
We are seeking a Risk & Compliance Manager to co-ordinate & administer the college's Risk Management & Compliance framework to the entire school, and monitor compliance to current legal and regulatory obligations. This specialist role guides the College to increase risk maturity and compliance across the College. 

Job Requirements:

The key responsibilities of this role are as follows:
  • Ensuring that the College has a comprehensive and effective framework of internal and external risk controls and effective risk management system;
  • Managing and maintaining the College’s risk register;
  • Managing and updating the College’s risk management system;
  • Overseeing the risk assessments conducted by the Risk Officer for events & excursions;
  • Overseeing the incident management follow-through as maintained by the Risk Officer;
  • Managing complex risk issues;
  • Identifying all appropriate external regulatory and compliance frameworks that apply to the College;
  • Documenting and updating obligations in the College’s compliance register;
  • Leading and project managing policy development across the College;
  • Overseeing and liaising with the College’s insurance providers are providing the correct level of cover for all activities and facilities.
The essential skills, experience & qualifications of these roles are as follows:
  • 3 years proven experience in a similar role;
  • Qualifications in Risk Management or equivalent;
  • Strong understanding and application of Australian Risk Management and Compliance Standards;
  • Demonstrated advanced computer skills including a sound understanding of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to interpret legislation and translate key information to key stakeholders;
  • Effective organisational skills to meet deadlines;
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills, including sound numeracy skills;
  • Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills and professional behaviour including the ability to be able to communicate appropriately and effectively with parents, students and colleagues;
  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team within all levels of the College;
  • Keeping the Christian vision and values of the College at the forefront of decision-making and action.
