Role Summary
This role holds the responsibility of delivering an exceptional service to the College community in relation to the provision and sale of all College Uniform and associated items. The College Uniform Shop will be based in C Block on the College campus at Orchard Hills.

Reporting
The Unform Shop Manager will operate under the management of Perm-a-Pleat Schoolwear* in consultation with the Headmaster of Penrith Anglican College.

Key Responsibilities

  • Professionally represent the College in personal presentation, mannerisms and Christ-like service
  • Operating with a high and consistent standard of service
  • Continually building cooperative and supporting relationships with the College Council, Headmaster, Staff, students and families and other members of the College
  • Working within the College policy framework at all times
  • Customer Service focused
  • Serving and assisting customers with sales and enquiries
  • Maintain an excellent knowledge of the College uniform product
  • Schedule uniform fittings
  • Accurately record sales using MYOB Retail Manager
  • Place orders for stock
  • Receive and record all deliveries of stock
  • Barcode all stock and restock shelves
  • Reconcile stock on hand with MYOB records
  • Display stock in shop
  • Cash handling, operation of Eftpos and credit card facility
  • Balance cash register and banking
  • Annual stock take
  • Manage casual uniform shop staff if and when required/Maintain Casual staff roster
  • Housekeeping duties.

Job Requirements:

Selection Criteria
Please provide written responses describing how you have demonstrated the following;

  • A personal commitment to the Lord Jesus Christ and attendance at a Christian Church on a regular basis
  • Acceptance of the College’s Statement of Faith and living a lifestyle consistent with this
  • To work as a member of a team
  • Self-motivated, organised and pro-active
  • Willingness to be flexible with regards to work hours during high demand periods
  • Retail sales experience
  • Have the ability to on-sell
  • Stock control and purchasing experience
  • Experience in operating a point of sale cash register
  • Computer skills – MS Office and MYOB (desirable but not essential)
  • To communicate effectively with adults and students
  • To be committed to the establishment and maintenance of quality relationships with students, staff, parents and the wider community
 Hours, Remuneration, Terms & Conditions
  • Part-time position, 3 days per week. Hours may vary during high demand periods such as prior to the start of the new school year and winter change-over period
  • Staff Hours – Tuesday 7.30am to 11.30am; Wednesday 12.30pm to 6.30pm & Friday 7.30am to 11.30am
  • Shop Operating Hours – Tuesday 8.00am to 11.00am; Wednesday 1.00pm to 6.00pm & Friday 8.00am to 11.00am
  • Remuneration, terms and conditions will be as per General Retail Industry Award 2010
  • Training in the specific MYOB and POS systems used by Perm-A-Pleat will be provided

  • ‘100 Point’ proof of identity (eg passport, birth certificate and licence/Medicare Card).
